Good day Patrons of Long Shot Lanes,

We hope your holiday seasons are going well. Please make sure you are paying attention in the parking lot for ice and snow. It is that time of the year when it will be slippery out there. Below you will see our ongoing challenges and progressions on trying to keep our lanes running and consistent as possible.

FINDINGS AND RESULTS OF THOSE FINDINGS:

1.  All fingers have had their 10-32 bolts replaced or tightened. Unfortunately, we found a significantly high number of bolts lacking within the fingers for picking up pins. This has been corrected and replaced.

2.  Lane 10 has a new belt on the distributor, and this will help keep from pin jam ups.

3.  On lane 1 and two the ball paddle bracket was replaced in the hopes to help keep the balls being returned in a timely manner.

4.  Lane 3 had a broken bracket on the ball stop in the back. This was replaced and raised up to normal height. Minimizing pin to bowling ball jams.

5.  Lane 8 has a new pin finger assembly installed in the 5-pin location.

6.  Recognized and discussed the oil patterns feeling different on the lanes. We are now keeping the oiler in the “doghouse” with lights on it to keep the oil from getting cold on that outside wall it typically sat next to. This should keep the oil flowing as it should and give a more consistent pattern to be used.

RECOGNIZED AND/OR WORK TO BE DONE:

1.  Looking to raise the gutters 1/8” this will not be done quickly as we are reviewing it to help get better pin action especially against the 10 and 7 pins.

2.   Lanes 11 and 12 need a new belt for the ball return.

3.  Ordering the new motor for the oiler. (not affecting the oiler as the fuse is not blowing out but motor does need to be changed out).

4.  Meeting with a representative for AMF products this week to discuss different topics and or head off issues before they are issues.
